Aishwarya Rai Baby

Today marks Beti B's two-month birthday, and while most fans are sending messages of congratulations and well wishes to Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, quite a few are also questioning why Aishwarya Rai's daughter still has no name.

Aishwarya delivered Beti B (or bitiya as grandfather Amitabh Bachchan is fond of calling her) on November 16, and shortly after the family brought her home from the hospital, Amitabh mentioned that a name would be chosen for the little girl in December. Abhishek gave an interview where he indicated that Amitabh would be asked to select a name, caterers said that they had been contracted for a fancy namkaran after the December holidays and Amitabh promised a name before the New Year.

Recently it was revealed that Aishwarya Rai had approved a name and announced it to the immediate family, but the family hasn't released it publicly.

Now even the most dedicated fans have become impatient, and they're voicing their concern over the lack of name to Amitabh. "Now.. @juniorbachchan princess #Beti B 2 months OLD..!!! hope she healthy and get her name...:)" was one such tweet. Another fan was more demanding: "@SrBachchan @juniorbachchan we want to see the BABY and we want to kn0w her name . WE LOVE BETI.B."

With the news that Aishwarya has selected a name (and with the passing of an inauspicious period which Amitabh joked about a few days ago) it seems likely that Beti B's name should be announced soon--and hopefully before Aishwarya Rai's fans become impatient to the point of losing interest!
