Mallika Sherawat (Hindi: मल्लिका शेरावत, born Reema Lamba in Rohtak, Haryana, India) is an Indian actress and model. Known for her bold onscreen attitude, Sherawat has frequently featured in the media as a sex symbol.She is one of the few Bollywood stars trying to crossover to Hollywood.

Sherawat's birth name is Reema Lamba. She comes from a Jat family.[5] She adopted the screen name of "Mallika", meaning "empress", to avoid confusion with other actresses named Reema.[6] "Sherawat" is her mother's maiden name. She has stated that she uses her mother's maiden name because of the support that her mother has provided her.[6] She went to school at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road.[7] She has obtained a degree in philosophy from Miranda House, Delhi University.

Before coming into films, Mallika acted in television commercials with Amitabh Bachchan for BPL and Shahrukh Khan for Santro.[9] She also acted in a music video, Lak Tunoo, by Surjit Bindrakhia.[10] She debuted in films with a small role in Jeena Sirf Merre Liye where she was credited as Reema Lamba.

Sherawat attracted notice with her appearance in the 2003 film, Khwahish. In 2004, she starred in Murder, a film inspired by Hollywood's Unfaithful. She received a nomination for Best Actress at the Zee Cine Awards for her performance in Murder. The film went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year.

Since then, Sherawat has been known for expressing her opinions in public, as well for the reaction to some of her statements.

In 2005, Sherawat acted in The Myth, a Chinese film, co-starring with Jackie Chan. She played the role of an Indian princess who falls in love and is rescued by Jackie. The Myth was her first International film. Her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival[14] to promote the film grabbed a lot of attention with Time Magazine's Richard Corliss calling her "the next big thing".[15]

Her performance in the 2006 film, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, co-starring Rahul Bose, won her praise from around the industry,[16] and the film also did moderately well at the box office.[17]

Her first release in 2007 was Mani Ratnam's Guru, in which she appeared in a special song, "Mayya Mayya". She also played a guest role in Himesh Reshammiya's Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story and reportedly charged Rs. 15 million for a 10-minute appearance.[18] Her last release of 2007 was Welcome, which also did well at the box office receiving blockbuster status.[19]

Her 2008 releases were Ugly Aur Pagli and Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam. Both films were not successful at the box office.

In 2009, Sherawat finished shooting for a Hollywood film named Hissss also starring Irrfan Khan and directed by Jennifer Lynch. The film, based on the legend of Nāga, is a an independent co-production between the United States and India.[3] Endeavour Independent has bought the distribution rights of Hisss.[20] Sherawat promoted the film with live snakes at the Cannes Film Festival 2010.

Sherawat also finished shooting for another Hollywood film. Love, Barack, directed by William Dear.[22] She plays Aretha Gupta, a devoted local Obama volunteer coordinator. The film is a romantic comedy set during Barack Obama's campaign for the US Presidency. First look of Love, Barack was unveiled by Sherawat at Cannes 2010

Sherawat won the 2008 Renaissance Artist Award at the 16th Annual Diversity Awards held in California.[24] On 14 August 2009, Sherawat received a career recognition Honorary Citizenship of Los Angeles for her career achievements and charitable efforts.

Katrina Kaif has never shot for any movie in Delhi. But every time she visits the capital, she loves it more and more.

The Bollywood stunner was in Delhi to cheer the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore of whose brand ambassador she is. At the event, she also gave away prizes to the winners of ‘Meet and Greet Katrina’ contest.

Casually dressed in jeans and the Royal Challengers T-shirt, Katrina said she looks forward to shoot in Delhi someday.

“I really hope that someday I come to the capital for the film shoot. I have shot for different movies in all parts of the world but unfortunately not here. So I’m looking forward to that opportunity as I know it would be real fun,” the actress said.

At the press conference, Katrina added that she shares “amazing vibes” with Delhiites.

“I come here very often but they are very short visits. I just love this place. If I have to decide where do I want to live after Mumbai, it would definitely be Delhi. Here I share amazing vibes with people and see so many friendly faces,” she added.

Speaking about the IPL which is going on in South Africa, Katrina said she would love to see the tournament return to India next year.

“We all know the reasons why IPL’s venue was shifted to South Africa, but I would really like it to be back here again because the enthusiasm, craziness and fan following for cricket in India is simply amazing…The whole experience is priceless. That is the time when we smile together and cry together,” she remarked.

Mori Ochoa was born on 2 February 1978. She is of Uruguayan-Japanese and Mexican heritage;[1] her Japanese ancestry is from her paternal grandfather.[2] She has two siblings, actress Kenya Mori and brother Kintaró Mori. Her parents Yuyi Mori and Rosario Ochoa divorced when she was three years of age. Mori spent her early childhood between Mexico and Uruguay and finally settled in Mexico City at the age of twelve.[3]

One day, while working as a waitress at the age of fourteen, fashion designer Marcos Toledo invited her to work as a model. She became independent by the age of seventeen and went to live with her cousins.[4] At nineteen she met actor Sergio Mayer, who would later become father to their son Sergio, born in 1998.[5] They never married.

She later studied acting in El Centro de Estudios de Formación Actoral. She made her acting debut in the Mexican telenovela Al norte del corazón. She then participated in the comedy series Tric Tac and Mirada de mujer the following year. She obtained her first TVyNovelas Award for her role in Mirada de mujer for Best New Actress.

In 1998, Bárbara Mori got her first leading role as "Azul" in the series Azul Tequila, co-starring with Mauricio Ochmann. A year later she filmed the series Me muero por tí in Miami, with Peruvian actor Christian Meier. She participated in her first film in 2000, in the Mexican comedy Inspiración. Later, she acted in various other telenovelas, including Amor descarado and the highly–rated Mexican soap opera, Rubí, which earned her another TVyNovelas Award.

In 2005 she obtained the starring role in the blockbuster film La mujer de mi hermano as Zoe, and her husband was portrayed by Christian Meier, with whom she had previously co-starred in Me muero por tí. Indian film producer Rakesh Roshan signed her as the leading lady for his movie Kites opposite his son, Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. It was shot in New Mexico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, it went into production by the end of July 2008, and was released on May 21, 2010.

Mori was diagnosed with early stage cancer and is now a proud survivor. She talks about her journey in UniGlobe Entertainment's docu-drama titled 1 a Minute, scheduled for release in 2010.[6] The documentary is being made by actress Namrata Singh Gujral and will also feature cancer survivors Olivia Newton-John, Diahann Carroll, Melissa Etheridge, Namrata Singh Gujral, Mumtaz and Jaclyn Smith as well as William Baldwin, Daniel Baldwin and Priya Dutt, whose lives have been touched by cancer. The feature is narrated by Kelly McGillis. The film will also star Lisa Ray, Deepak Chopra and Morgan Brittany.

Ayesha was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Gujarati father, Nishit and a half British - half Maharashtrian mother, Faridah. She attended St. Anthony's High School. She has a younger sister named Natasha. She is also the cousin of Abdul Zafar.

Ayesha started her career with the "I am a Complan Girl!" advertising campaign and she also appeared in a music video, Falguni Pathak's Meri Chunarii Udd Udd Jaye, when she was fifteen. On 1 March 2009, Ayesha married Farhan Azmi, a restaurateur and the son of politician Abu Azmi, a Samajwadi Party leader.[3] The couple had originally planned to marry in December 2008, but the wedding was delayed due to the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
